But you didn't.

我以為你會殺了我......

但是你沒有。

and you said it would rain, and it did?

I thought you'd say,"I told you so."...

But you didn't.

記得那次我拉你去海邊，

而它確實像你說的，下雨了?

我以為你會說：「我早就告訴你了。」......

但是你沒有。

Remember the times I'd flirt with other boys

just to make you jealous, and you were?

I thought you'd drop me...

But you didn't.

記得那次我對在場的每個男孩調情，

只為了讓你忌妒，而你確實忌妒了？

我以為你會丟下我......

但是你沒有。

Do you remember the time I spilled strawberry pie

all over your car rug?

I thought you'd hit me...

But you didn't.

記得那次我把草莓派撒在你車子的踏墊上？

我以為你會打我......

但是你沒有。

Remember the time I forgot to tell you the dance was formal,

and you came in jeans?

I thought you'd hate me...

But you didn't.

記得那次我忘了告訴你舞會很正式，

而你卻穿了牛仔褲來嗎？

我以為你會為此討厭我......

但是你沒有。

Yes, there were lots of things you didn't do.

But you put up with me,and loved me,

and protected me.

There were lots of things I wanted to make up to you

when you returned from Vietnam.

But you didn't.

是啊，有很多是你都沒做。

但是你包容我，愛我，

保護我。

等你從越南回來後，,

我有好多事想補償你。

但是你沒有。

:::好的來介紹一下:::

這首詩的作者是名美國婦人

她的丈夫在女兒四歲時到越南打仗

後來她的丈夫不幸在戰場上身亡,她就一直守寡直到過世

而這首詩是作者的女兒在整理作者的遺物時發現的

好吧其實我是在無聊滑fb時看到的這首

看到之後覺得滿感動的所以想說來分享一下

前面幾段是無限溫馨啊,顯現丈夫的包容

可是看到最後一段,結局竟是丈夫沒回來

那心中無限的感慨啊....((其實我原本以為會是happy ending 的...

這首詩有很多種...寓意...(?!)

不過我想作者應該只是想寫下來,告訴她的丈夫她很想念他

再更深層的寓意,就見仁見智了

有些人更深層的感覺他會解釋成➡停止戰爭

不要再讓更多的人失去心愛的另一伴了

也有些人的感覺是➡愛要即使表達

好啦今天純粹只是分享這首小詩而已
